Lack of Guidance and ASICS release GEL-QUANTUM™ 360 VIII
Amsterdam-based football-inspired brand Lack of Guidance has partnered with Japanese sportswear brand ASICS to present a modern take on their GEL Quantum™ 360 VIII, marking the Amsterdam-based brand's debut footwear release.
The design takes inspiration from the iconic 1998 Japan goalkeeper jersey, widely regarded as ASICS' most legendary football jersey. The shoe features orange mesh accents on the upper, reflecting the fiery tones of the World Cup kit. The predominantly black and orange colorway is enhanced with silver details, completing the bold palette. The collaboration highlights the Lack of Guidance’s ability to reimagine iconic sportswear through a contemporary lens.
“Those who know me well know my love for ASICS, so it’s a true honor to design my first pair of shoes with them.” - Akaar Amin
Lack of Guidance was established in 2016 when the brand’s founders created a new space in the sport-streetwear market, describing themselves as “maintaining the principles of football and combining them with fashion and thought-provoking design”.
Priced at €190, the ASICS GEL Quantum™ 360 VIII by Lack of Guidance is available online.
