WHIPGUIDE #1: Old(car)head.
Introducing the **WHIPGUIDE**—your go-to source for quick, engaging reviews of the hottest old and new cars. Whether it’s an in-depth look at a single model or a head-to-head comparison of top contenders, we’ve got you covered. Why “Whip” guide? Because we wanted a name that resonates with the millennial vibe—fresh, from this time, and undeniably cool. At XAVEWORLD, we embrace the energy of the youth, and “whip” is the perfect slang to capture that spirit while celebrating the cars that keep us moving forward.
That being said, on this first WHIPGUIDE, we’re celebrating the fact that the older we get, the more we appreciate the simpler things in life. And that also goes for car enthusiasts—especially those who fancy classic cars.
In this day and age, the “simplest” cars come with many options already. Back in the day, having electric windows was an option one would geek on. Nowadays you have options such as massage seats, cars being able to spin 360 degrees in place, and traffic lights on the dashboard screen when up to close to the traffic light. This isn’t even 2% of what you could choose from, depending on the car brand.
Well, If I do say so myself, I’m all in for the newest tech in cars. But just as much, I love classic cars with minimal complications. Just a good engine for smooth rides, a real body, not these plastic bodies we have these days (pun very much intended), and last but definitely not least, the smell.
The smell when you open the door of a classic car is just unmatched. It takes you back to many different times earlier in life.
I’m often asked, “What are your top five classic cars?”. In all honesty, I don’t think car enthusiasts do “top fives” and whatnot. You either like cars or you don’t. Having to choose a top five is like having to choose one of your grandma’s best dishes to eat for the rest of your life. Yeah, it's not happening. We want what we want.
So here’s what I did: I made a selection of classic cars I definitely want in my collection.
Greta Thunbreg won’t be happy with my selection, but hey, we all sin somehow, right?
Here’s my selection of 5 classic cars I will have in my collection. (Yes, very big on speaking things into existence). If you ever find yourself wanting one of these classics, look no further. Head over to Collecting Cars and spoil yourself.
